The Building Contract

Once Town Planning and Building Permit approvals have been obtained, berman homes will prepare a quote for your consideration and approval. The quote given will vary depending on the following:
- The plans and conditions on the permits
- Engineering requirements
- Energy rating requirements
- Acoustic requirements
- Your specifications (these include your desired finishes e.g. type of internal doors, appliances, kitchen finish etc). berman homes can assist with this process with our experience and by providing ideas from houses we are currently constructing.
The building contract is signed after the above are costed.
Building variations are possible after the contract has been signed. However, for simplicity, we strongly urge clients to carefully consider their requirements prior to the finalisation and signing of the contract.
berman homes only use industry recognised contracts. In brief, the contract outlines the following:
- Your rights and responsibilities
- The builder's rights and responsibilities
- The schedule of payments
- Warrantee details
- Definitions
